After a meeting with one of our ASTs, we have decided that we are going to come up with a different idea for our research project - something that will challenge us more, as well as being more original.
We have arranged to meet at Jodie's house on Tuesday at 4pm, having prepared some new ideas - the more original the better.

Well, a lot has clearly gone on here - very well done! I wasn't alerted to your posts, though, as I don't think you've added your gadget yet to make it easy for people to follow your blog, so can you do that too?
ReplyDeletePlease do read the relevant sections of the textbook and watch the early v-lectures on the wiki. Brainstorming is a good start, but you don't have to come up with things just from your existing knowledge and ideas; there are other ways of identifying topics too.
Advertising and gender is an extremely well researched area, and it's OK to replicate one of the many studies already done about it if that's what you're really interested in, but do read about the previous research first (articles as well as books). Reading about other peopel's studies can give you fresh ideas for your own. Let me know if you need some references, and good luck with the next meeting.
